Buffalo EMS - Short Staffed!

So today I heard a call which drew my attention. A City of Mount Hope, Fire Rescue ambulance (Possibly from Mount Hope, West Virginia?), serving a call in Buffalo, NY. Curious I thought. So I began listening to the Buffalo Fire ADI channel (424.37500 MHz), something I haven't done in quite some time. Indeed many of the calls I was hearing were to well known addresses. The regulars.

But I noticed something new. They were using new codes which I was unaware of. Called Priority Dispatch Codes, these codes are apparently kind of standardized. Like 10-codes, these codes are understood by EMS crews and dispatchers. I found this interesting, so I figured I would share it. Of note, I just heard a call go out for a 25B3 about 10 minutes ago which hasn't been answered by a responding unit yet.

UPDATE: February 6th, I saw a Ambulance from South Carolina stationed in Sanborn, NY. A few days ago I also saw an ambulance service from out of state, called AirMed? It was a gray Type I ambulance with Red and BLUE forward facing lights, which isn't legal in NY for anything really aside from Federal Vehicles.

(Protocol 36 will be a COVID Positive patient).
