Finding The Ideal Vehicle

I have had a few vehicles over the years. My first was a 1994 Mercury Grand Marquis. It was a good car, other then the transmission issues. But being my first car I was hard on it. I bought it specifically for Volunteer work, with the original intent as a highway patrol vehicle.

Haycreek 'Road'

I know that I really shouldn't be writing about this.  As they say, if you call some place paradise, kiss it goodbye.  But Haycreek Road (I call it Haycreek, as one word, but the real name is Hay Creek Rd.)  is very much part of who I am today.  I believe the first one to discover this road within my circle of friends was Exkalibur.  He apparently drove down the road in his dad's car, and wrecked the transmission.  Then it was Jeff and I who rode down it in his Jeep. and eventually I brought my Van up to test it on the rugged logging trail.

Fix Buffalo?

David Torke runs a blog called Fix Buffalo.  He is a good guy with some good ideas for the city.  Or is he?  David is a typical politicial activist, he has agendas, both private and public for his interests.  He is a avid 'urban explorer', or so he claims.  He will take groups of unexperienced people, into abandonments illegally in order to give them a 'tour' of the neighbourhoods.  He will physically break into buildings using force, and encourages people to take 'momentos' from them.
